Johnstar Bio

Johnstar’s constant quest for a challenge is the driving force behind his style. ‘It has to be exciting and interesting!’ This is reflected in both his productions and in his DJ sets. He created a deep grooving sound that appeals to a wide variety of house lovers. His choice of records is fresh, with a feel-good vibe, which keeps both newbies and experts coming back for more.

The last few years he featured the biggest parties and festivals in the Netherlands, like Amsterdam Dance Event (2007, 2008, 2010), Mysteryland (2008, 2009), Roger Sanchez’s Release Yourself (2009), Extrema Outdoor (2007) and Dancetour (2010). He also has been a regular guest at Fedde le Grand and Funkerman’s prestigious Flamingo Nights (2007, 2008, 2009). By now he does not stop at the Duch border anymore. In 2010 Johnstar has been a welcomed guest in a.o. Spain, France, Belgium and the UK.

After having produced quite some remixes that got a lot of support, Johnstar knew his old attic wouldn’t cut it anymore. His brand new studio is finished an Johnstar is fully reloaded with a matured sound. The first projects stemming from his new studio are already released (amongst which his massive Tick Tock Track). He has a lot more in store for us as a whole new batch of releases is waiting to come out. So be prepared, ‘cause Johnstar is ready to rock…are you?
